Globally we face significant food challenges, such as the need to produce more food, for a growing population, with less available resources, and within the context of a changing climate and geo-political circumstances. Our scientists are focusing on innovation right across Scotland's food supply chain.

NSA Scotsheep is Scotland's one-day premier specialist sheep event organised by the Scottish region of the National Sheep Association.

This year’s conference will focus on identifying the most valued public environmental goods and exploring how land managers can be encouraged and incentivised to prioritise and deliver these public goods. Abstracts and papers centred on these themes should be submitted by the 15th of June 2018.

NHS Health Scotland estimates that obesity currently costs the economy, both directly and indirectly, up to £4.6 billion per year, with Scotland now boasting the highest incidences of obesity for both men and women among OECD countries. 

Our scientists are bringing a series of free pop-up presentations and fun, hands-on activities explaining the nature of the food on our plates.

SNA is a tool to illusate how different items are connected together. Often shown as nodes describing people and edges how the nodes link together. At its very core social network analysis uses data to help make connections, help people collaborate and help more people benefit from these collaborations.

ou will combine seasonal, local, healthy and nutritious ingredients to create your own meal to ‘Feed your Gut’ or ‘Feed your Brain’ to cook whilst learning about current diet and health research. The event includes a two course meal with a botanical drink.
