Carla Barlagne

Carla Barlagne is a researcher in agricultural and rural economics working in the Social, Economic and Geographical Sciences (SEGS) research group at the James Hutton Institute.

She has a background in agronomy, agricultural economics and behavioural economics. Prior to joining The James Hutton Institute she has received her PhD from The University of the French West Indies and the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA) and carried a one-year postdoc at INRA (Guadeloupe, French West Indies/Paris, France).

Dr Alison Roberts

Role and responsibilities

  • Head of Cell Biology and Imaging Group.
  • Lead/conduct cell biological research on virus movement, macromolecular trafficking and phloem transport.
  • Investigate the use of novel fluorescent proteins and imaging technologies to ensure cutting edge methodologies are available in the CBI unit.

Dr Laure Kuhfuss

Laure Kuhfuss is a researcher in agricultural and environmental economics working in the Social, Economic and Geographical Sciences (SEGS) research group at the James Hutton Institute. She has a background in agronomy and environmental economics. Her research investigates farmers’ adoption of sustainable behaviours, the evaluation and design of agri-environmental policies and the valuation of ecosystem services.
