Biography
My background is in ecology and evolution and my main research interest is in how and why animals vary in their responses to infection. I primarily work on sheep and their nematode parasites, and current research is exploring the relationships between resilience, resistance and tolerance to these worms, and we can exploit variation in these traits to reduce their impact on animal health and welfare and the sustainability of the industry. Most of my research involves the collection and analysis of large, longitudinal data sets using multivariate statistical techniques, which I also aim to bring to collaborations with other researchers in SEFARI and beyond.
