Biography
I previously worked as Research Assistant for the SEFARI Advisors in the 2011-16 Strategic Research Programme. This involved coordinating interdisciplinary research and stakeholder engagement activities. I am currently a Research and Communications Officer in the SEFARI Gateway, which primarily involves managing the delivery of its key knowledge exchange activities and editing digital content for the web/social media. My involvement in the previous and current Strategic Research Portfolio has given me a detailed understanding of the research and knowledge exchange mechanisms across SEFARI. This overview helps me get the research to right person, at the right time and in the right format.
I am also part of one of several SEFARI Gateway Think Tank initiatives. I am involved in critically reviewing and engaging with approaches to assess the sustainability of food within cities. This work aims to provoke engagement as to the strengths and weaknesses of urban food assessment approaches and offer a perspective on the validity of urban food strategies.
